This area boasts a wealth of remains dating back to antiquity, in the historic towns of San Martino, Solferino, Volta Mantovana, Borghetto and Castellaro Lagusello, and of course Verona, Mantua and Brescia, great cities of culture and art. Several tourist attractions are just a short ride away, including  the Gardaland amusement park, the Live Nature Park in Pastrengo, the marvellous Sigurtà botanical garden, and the delightful lakeside towns of Sirmione, Desenzano, Lazise and Bardolino. Very close to Bellaria is a splendid swimming-pool. The river Mincio offers excellent opportunities for fishing and canoeing, or you can cycle along the track from Mantua to Peschiera del Garda.
