19-21 June 2009 - Trekking on horseback in the places
of the battles of Solferino and San Martino.
The A.P.E.C. Mantova based at
the Bellaria farm in Volta Mantovana organizes 3 days of trekking on
horseback to lead the participants to some of the famous scene of battles with
the following schedule:
* Friday June 19: Guidizzolo, Rebecca, Medole,
Grole, Castiglione and
Astore
* Saturday June 20: Astore,
Castelvenzago, Centenaro, S. Martino,
Madonna
della Scoperta,
Solferino and Cavriana
* Sunday June 21: Cavriana, Castellaro
Lagusello and Volta Mantovana
The path winds on paths immersed in the green
hills Moreniche.
The route does not present special difficulties and the gap
is small, with gentle slopes.
The riders will be guided to enjoy beautiful
landscapes and cultural and of course, the tasting of wines and the famous
local cuisine.
There are also guides available for tours (optional) to
museums and historical places of cultural interest that tell this crucial period
in the history of Italy.
There is also the opportunity to travel in a
carriage drawn by horses.
On the evening of Tuesday June 23 the riders will
parade through the streets of the historic center of Medole for the historic
battle.
